If you have watched Moomins (Tanoshii Moomin Ikka, Muumilaakson tarinoita etc.), you should recognize this Phoenix. She comes to Moominvalley and got shot by some man, the moomins save her and cures her. But she is too old to fly to her mountain where she is supposed to reborn, that's why everyone in the Moominvalley helps the moomins to create a big bonfire, where this Phoenix can fly to and reborn into a healthy young bird. This scene is from the moment, where the phoenix has reborned into a young bird.
This Phoenix episode (episode number 67) is one of my favourite Moomin episodes. It's just so amazing and I really love all kinds of mystical creatures. And I love that song, that you can hear when the Phoenix is reborned (musical version on the first Tanoshii Moomin ikka ending Tooi Akogare. Just amazing...
)

In my childhood I read a story of a wise phoenix who befriended a boy and they had adventures together. Unfortunantly the phoenix was also old, and, against the boy's fond wishes, prepared its pyre, died and was reborn with NO memory. Fled from the now crying boy ,seeing him as an enemy...
